Topic : Traffic and housing problems could be solved by moving large companies, factories and their employees to the countryside.
Do you agree or disagree?
Dramatically increasing vehicles and lacking accommodations in recent years have sparked concerns in many cities. By relocating big commercial businesses and workshops to rural areas, these issues could be handled. I personally find this viewpoint justifiable, but at the same time, some alternatives could also be added to completely solve the problems.
The reason why we should move companies and factories is rooted in the fact that these organizations have attract multitudes of people, almost of who are from different places, causing a substantial rise in population. If they are relocated to the countryside, their employees will, as a result, definitely move with their workplaces and find houses near them. This helps the number of urban citizens to quickly shrink and relieve pressure on housing supply systems as well as transportation. To give an illustration, if Beijing has appropriate measures to shift commercial organizations’ ground to suburban, pollution, traffic congestions and housing shortage will be reduced as a large part of the city’s population do not live there anymore.
Urban planning is an intricate process and the government need some other approaches to completely solve the problem. One example involving the improvement of the infrastructure system. Narrow and rugged roads is one of the primary causes of traffic jams, as well as encroachment of street vendors in some developing countries. Building wide roads and well controlling street food stalls help cut down traffic congestions. Another one, in addition, could be expansion of residential areas and high-storey buildings, which meet the demand for accommodation.
The growing population is day by day narrowing cities’ spaces. Therefore, I am firmly of the view that government applies policies to deal with the issue, including moving big firms to outskirts.
