Writing task 2 planning help me

Some people think that planning for the future is a waste of time. They believe it is more important to focus on the present. To what extent agree/disagree

Some people consider that planning for the future is pointless as it dissipates their time, thus, it is more reasonable to live in the moment. In my opinion, I only partly agree with this notion and think that by planning people would achieve their ambition in an easier way.

To begin with, as we live in unpredictable times, we have to prepare and always face new challenges. Therefore, it is always prudent to plan carefully to reduce unexpected risks. Granted, not everyone is infallible, we have to cover every eventually before making a decision. Hence, If people tend to handle their tasks on impulse, they will be likely to suffer many negative consequences such as bankrupt or involve long-term financial hardship. For example, my uncle is a wealthy person but he is well-known for his profligate spending habits. He never plans how to spend his money in a sensible way. As a result, he got into debt and have to live with a frugal lifestyle.

Conversely, over-planning can lead to unnecessary stress and negative thinking. It is undeniable that no matter how specific our plan is, we never know for sure what will happen in the future. Hence, although many people plan in detail, they encounter many unexpected problems. This would make them disappointed or even distressed. In addition, we could miss out on great moments due to excessive focusing on the future. For instance, Vietnamese students are under pressures of getting high grade at school. As a result, they spend the majority of their time studying, wasting their social pursuit opportunities.

In conclusion, I believe that planning is an integral part of success. However, over-planning can have adverse effects on our health, and waste our opportunities.
