It is a common belief that learning cultural knowledge of different countries through travelling has no necessity, and such knowledge should be learnt in other ways such as reading books, watching films or through the internet. While I think that the latter ways are convenient for people to learn, I prioritise the former one.

On the one hand, it is understandable why such knowledge should be gained through the internet and other ways because of its convenience and low price. Firstly, due to the popularity of the internet which can provide people with a large amount of knowledge in many fields, people can easily and freely access to such knowledge whenever and wherever they want. Secondly, this way also helps them to save a lot of money because it requires them no need to spend huge payments for going abroad and many more fees such as accomodation fees, flight charge to experience new cultures.

Nevertheless, the immeasurable benefits of learning cultures through travelling can be denied. This is largely because once people move to another place, they not only have chances to get exposed to new knowledge and retain it longer, but also enhance and improve their communication skills. Such a horizon and skills are needed for them to meet requirements in their future jobs and in addition to having opportunities working in foreign enterprises. For example, students who have a chance to move elsewhere to learn are more mature, independent than those who are not ,because they have to ensure everything needed for a trip is done by themselves.

To conclude, besides the benefits of learning through books, the internet, the advantages of travelling are evident. And therefore people should choose which way is suitable for their circumstance to learn through.
