Here is my essay. I hope you can correct it soon. Thanks in advance.

It is believed by some educationalists that children should learn a foreign language when they study at primary school rather than secondary school. Learning a new language at an early age seems to be confusing, but I still believe that it brings more benefits than drawbacks for children.

Some people argue that children should not begin learning a new language at primary school. The reason for this argument is that being exposed to a foreign language at an early age is likely to have a negative influence on the mother tongue of children. Primary pupils are those who are still in the process of maturing, and they still need to learn to read and speak their native language. Therefore, learning a new language at primary school can lead to the fact that children mispronounce some words and feel confused.

However, adopting a new language at an early age is beneficial to children. First, children can acquire a language of a different country easily because their linguistic mindset at that time is better than that of adolescents, which helps them to learn more quickly as they find new language interesting, and feel excited about what they have learnt. This is also advantageous for children to learn other languages later. Second, an early exposure to foreign languages can help children have a good command of a language soon, which is likely to open their doors to significant opportunities when they grow up. In Viet Nam, English is an indispensable subject in the school curriculum, and children even have a chance to learn it at the age of five. Those children seem to be more confident and successful than others because they can gain a scholarship and study abroad.

In conclusion, an early exposure to a new language will help children to have a great language acquisition and become successful in the future.
