Writing task 2 need evaluation

Some people believe that school children should not be given homework by their teachers, whereas others argue that homework plays an important role in the education of children.

Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

There is a controverisal discourse over homework as some believes that the latter is no longer necessary while there are still proponents who believe in homework's role in education.

From the supporters's point of view, extra assignments for students can widen the pulpils' knowledge as they will need to work harder. For example, when a student receive his homework, he or she will need spend more time for studying so as to finish their assignments. This may results in producing an efficiency and excellent generation which may help improve our society thanks to the qualified education system. Moreover, giving homework may keep our future workers far from bad and unhealthy habits such as playing computer games or having drugs. Therefore, the supporter of this education system believe that homework plays an essentian role in our society.

On the other hand, there are arguments that children can no longer enjoy their childhood due to heavy studying schedule. For there are many assignments, students may find it difficult to indulge themselves to other activities. In other words, homework may prevent students from doing what they feel interested in which may lead to restlessness among students. Subsequently, it is necessary that teachers or lecturers stop assigning homework, so students could participate in other important activities such as extrarriculars. Also handing out assignments to students may end up with depression among these future workers , as they may feel bored and refuse to keep studying. In this case, assigning homework can have a effect that is completely contrast with its initial purpose.

In my opinion, handing out homework these days is no longer essential as students nowaday choose to follow different path in their life. Therefore it is neccessary for the following generations to study by themselves and pursue their own desires rather than relying on homework which may occupy all of their time.

Homework may bring some benefits such as widening knowledge and preventing bad habits; however, it is no longer necessary as it is more important to let student decides what they love to do in the future.
