WRITING TASK 2 IELTS: BEING PERFORMED BY ROBOTS

Task 2: Nowadays more tasks at home and work are being performed by robots. Is this a negative or positive development?

Essay:

Robots are automated machine that can perform various tasks. It is increasing popular for homeowners and corporations in recent years. This is definitely a positive development because it save individual time and allow businesses to better use in resources.

To begin with, there are many positive impacts of this development. People who use various advances in robotics in household and work will have more free time. Robots can replace human in doing repetitive tasks that are required to keep the house clean. People spend thousands of hours every year in order to run repeated errands and do bored household such as washing dishes, mowing lawns, vacuuming. These activities are often seen as burden since they take up to much time and return a little achievement, and in some cases they expose people to danger situation and harmful chemicals. Over the last few years, many families now use robotic vacuum like Roomba, mobile webcam for security so as to bridge the gap between robotic and artificial intelligence devices such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home. These appliances save lots of time for their users and human can invest in hobby, households, health care, entertainment and enjoy time with others.

Nowadays, we can see a concomitant rise in investiture areas like research and development. Many global companies such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Tesla can now invest in developing artificial intelligence, so they can improve their existing products. There is a worry that some kind of jobs like bartender, bricklayer, cook and factory workers can unemployed with the rise of robot. However, robots can improve condition in workplaces. Robots will replace human in some danger of scaffolding work for constructions and in emergencies like bomb or fire. In the long run, robot can help human transition into work environment that are less harmful than before.

In conclusion, robot can help people reduce danger in work and time for household. Although there are looming risks in unemployment, these can be mitigated governmental regulations. When all factors are considered, it could be conclude that robots have more positive impacts than negative and it also contribute to society.
