Writing task 2 IELTS

Task 2 : Some people say that examinations are an important part of the educational system. Others , however, believe that it would put unnessary pressure on students. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different views about taking the test are a significant factor in education programs . Whiles some people disagree with the idea of administrators provide more stressful for students , I believe that examinations are good for them.

It is clear that exams provided students with a chance to evaluate one’s strengths and weaknesses, from that, they can improve their drawbacks and upgrade their strong points in the study. In addition, by giving students the motivation to learn and review their knowledge, examinations can also serve as the tool for teachers to measure their student’s academic performance. For instance, tests announce teachers who were the excellent pupils and worst pupils in the class. So, an educator can give more solutions for students to better figure out the lessons. Last but not least, scholars will have a chance to assert themselves because they are deserved to admire.

However, in many cases, some pupils committed suicide due to their disappointment about their scores and test results. For example, the suicide rate in Korea’s students is the highest among the OECD countries. Secondly, compared to those who compete in the short run, long run students have faced with mental disorders such as depression, insomnia and psychological problems. The final aspect which is no less important is that the educational system gives too much focus on theoretical concepts, without much applicability in real life , resulting in many university graduates struggle to find a job due to the lack of soft skills.

In conclusion , examinations have both advantages and disadvantages . It help students come over some important challenges in their lifes. However, it can create the misery of studying .
