Writing task 2: I'd be very gratefu could give me thorough comments for the sake of my future improvements.

TASK 2:

Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views.

ANSWER:

After having finished learning at high school, pupils have to decide between two choices: going straight for work or continuing with further study. In fact, both do have its own advantages.

On the one hand, working right after the compulsory educational curriculum gives people more time to get prepared for their chosen profession. To begin with, they would become more mature than others. Unlike the peaceful and monotonous life at school, the outer world seems so appealing beside a variety of difficulties. Coming out of the comfort zone with challenging troubles arising everyday without parents’ support would be the addictive to ones’ high independence. Furthermore, a lot of precious skills would be acquired during the period. With a job, ones would have a more practical eye by learning directly from reality rather than theories like at schools. And things learnt could be applied flexibly, which would be gradually enhanced through frequent practice.

On the other hand, learning at universities could be the core factor for getting good future jobs. Firstly, Bachelor Degree would make its owner more competitive in the job market. Throughout the last few decades, the sharp annual increase in human resources together with no change in the number of careers available have led to a surge in unemployment. Higher-qualified students, hence, would stand a better chance of high-paid employment. Secondly, high study encourages easier career advancement. At top positions, people are required more complex and professional knowledge in their fields, which needs to be educated. That fact could explain why some middle-aged ones who having worked such a long time still turn to universities for further studies.

In conclusion, whatever ways made would be totally reasonable. To have the best preparation for the future, ones had better take pros and cons of both choices into consideration.
