Writing task 2 hobbies and works

Some people regard work as the most important thing in life and have little interest in anything else. Other people are more enthusiastic about their hobbies and leisure interests than their job.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There is no denying that many people are struggling to balance both their occupation and leisure pursuits simultaneously. It is hard to overstate the importance of a job in life, and some people show little interest in anything but their jobs, while others state that they should spend more time on recreational activities. In my opinion, I lean towards the latter, since many hobbies would eventually turn into profitable side jobs.

On the one hand, workaholics are likely to be successful in life. In other words, one can afford all the basic needs only if they dedicate enough in their work. By contrast, wasting a colossal amount of time on impractical hobbies takes a heavy toll on their budget. There are instances that virtual game addicts neglect all priorities, thus, chances are that these people would suffer from economic issues. Therefore, to a certain group of people, work is far more important than anything else.

On the other hand, it is understandable that many are gravitating towards an interesting activity rather than their jobs. For one, life with its responsibilities is stressful enough, and without hobbies to look forward to at the end of grueling working days makes one even more stressed out, which in serious cases could result in depression. Furthermore, many succeed in making use of their skills and interests and turn them into lucrative remote side careers. With a photography hobby, for instance, one can start their business and seek their clients as a photographer. Meanwhile, a lot of categories fit into an art hobby, like graphic design, painting, and drawing. Hence, they can take Art Models or Production Artists into consideration. All in all, pursuing a hobby could yield many far-reaching benefits compared to excessive working.

In sum, it is important to devote to careers regardless of any other interests. However, I believe that practical leisure activities could be enjoyable and productive at the same time.
