Writing task 2 health help me evaluate my essay

It is more important to spend public money promoting a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent illness than to spend it on the treatment of people who are already ill. To what extent do you agree of disagree?

it is considered that state money should be allocated to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle with a view to preventing diseases rather than treatment for needy people. Although there are advantages of encouraging healthy habit, I believe that treatment for already ill people is equally important.


Allocating government budget to promote citizen’s healthy lifestyle is of paramount importance. Firstly, our lifestyles are directly linked with human resistance against illness. Hence, having a healthy habit can yield a significant improvement in people’s health. As a matter of fact, in modern society, people devote the majority of their time to stuck in the rut. Indeed, they have to sit and work incessantly on computers, leading to a sedentary lifestyle, and this is detrimental to our body. For example, many white-collar workers suffer from pain back and short-sight due to collapsing behind computers for hours on end. Therefore, it is imperative that the government should invest in public facilities for residents to physically exercise.


On the other hand, taking care of sick patients is also of great importance for some reasons. The first one is that there are many diseases that people contracted by accident such as tetanus,…Therefore, if citizens do not have enough medical equipment and health care services, the mortality rate would be raised considerably. Furthermore, contagious diseases need to be prevented, and the valuable way to do that is curing people with a prerequisite is medical equipment and drugs. Hence, the government should value treatment for ill people as equally as encouraging a healthy lifestyle.


In conclusion, I believe that the government should set a value on both promoting healthy style and treatment for ill people as it would help to guarantee people’s welfare.
