Writing task 2-fast food

Topic:

In some countries an increasing number of people are suffering from health problems as a result of eating too much fast food. It is therefore necessary for government to impose a higher tax on this kind of food. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion.

Nowadays, fast food is very popular. However, most of the menu items are not beneficial for people’s health. I strong believe people’s health risk which highly relates to this kind of food. I totally agree that the government should increase taxes on junk food.
I strong believe that imposing a heavy tax for this kind of food and that can reduce the number of health problems for people. First, the fast food has the most calories, this leads to obese or heart problems. For example, nowadays, young people normally eat more types of fat which has on fast food, so they have some diseases related to obese or heart. Second, the government to impose a tax on junk food which has a few benefits. The taxes can be used to raise awareness of the harmful effects of junk food. For instance, officials in India’s southern state of Kerala have placed a tax on fast food, at 14.5 percent, at restaurants such as Pizza Huts, Kentucky Fried Chicken, hamburger joints.
However, taxes on junk food brings some negative. Governments in some countries are not imposing a tax for a fast food restaurant because it will limit the number of customers who buy fast food. For instance, the government to impose a higher tax for fat and sugar which has in fast food and them increase the problems of obesity and heart diseases in some countries
In conclusion, fast food can help people save their time when people are very busy. However, I would agree that governments should be imposing a hefty tax for fast food because when people have a high consumption of junk and unhealthy food, it causes some diseases like obesity and cardiovascular disease.
