People living in large cities face several problems. What are these problems? Should governments encourage them to move to smaller towns?
More and more people tend to move from their rural areas to live in some major cities to search for better jobs creating various problems such as traffic jam and crime. Therefore, besides encouraging them to move to smaller towns, governments need to implement other strategies to tackle these issues.
It is undeniable that troubles in the large cities are becoming an alarming rate. The first problem is air pollution, since traffic congestion with a huge number of vehicles’ exhaust systems such as cars, motorbikes, buses and truck every day is contributing mightily to air pollution. Moreover, fossil fuels emissions and chemical reactions from factories also reduce the air quality in these places. The second worry is crime. The big cities are not only a place for diligent and patient people, but also a place for those preferring pleasure to work. The lazy individuals are easy to yield to temptation and then take drugs leading them to committing many crimes. For example, when they are out of money, they can steal, rob other people’s bags or luxurious motorbikes and even attack or kill them if these citizens defend themselves from their attacks.
It is necessary for the states to pursue strict strategies to deal with these issues. Firstly, encouraging residents to live in smaller towns is an effective method. When this is implemented, the huge amount of traffic congestion will be decreased significantly leading to lower level of the air pollution. Secondly, the authorities should establish more vocational centers for those suffering from poor conditions. These centers have responsibilities for teaching them skills and qualifications to adapt to working environment besides introducing them to appropriate companies. Finally, the governments should set in train the process of finding special police officers being good at their professional skills and easy to get in touch with the public to fight crime, which provides safe environment for the residents to work, live and study.
In short, air condition and crime are troubles that the major cities are facing; therefore, letting people live in other towns and creating more jobs is extremely important.
