Writing task 2 employees help me evaluate my essay

Nowadays, some employers think that formal academic qualifications are more important than life experience or personal qualities when they look for new employees. Why is it the case? Is it a positive or negative development?

In today’s society, some recruiters place value on academic university degree rather than hands-on experiences or personality traits. Although there are some underlying reasons for this, I believe that this trend is totally negative.

There are a host of reasons why some employers opine that academic degree are more essential than work experiences and personal qualities. Firstly, it is true that getting high grade at university is one of the evidence that showcases your talents. Granted, Virtually all people find it is extremely difficult to have excellent academic performances. Hence, many recruiters believe that those who perform well in school are equipped with in-depth knowledge and innate talents which would bring to the companies various advantages in the future. Furthermore, formal academic candidates are likely to adapt to a new change more quickly compared to experienced candidates since employees who rely heavily on their experiences often work in repetitive ways. Thus, it is hard for them to break their habits.

However, I still believe that experiences and personal qualities are of paramount importance since it helps employees to avoid making mistakes and build harmony relationships with others. Admittedly, many employees face various problems such as lacking necessary skills or experiences. This could not only negatively affect their work, but also cause their company to lose loyal customers. In addition, personality traits should be taken into consideration. Negative personalities such as dishonest and jealousy, for instance, could lead to an eroding relationship between people in the workplace.

In conclusion, although there are various reasons why employers place emphasize on formal academic qualifications rather than life experience or personality traits. I think that this is completely a negative development.
