Topic: People in the community can buy cheaper products nowadays. Do advantages outweigh disadvantages?

In recent years, as products are getting much easier to manufacture, people can possess any particular product with lower price than they did previously. I support that this trend could bring about both pros and cons to customers and the society in general but the disadvantages are much more considerable.

On the one hand, there are several obvious merits of having access to cheaper products. First of all, when less money is paid for goods, people can save a huge amount of money accumulated every day. Therefore, they would have a little more budget to spend on other facilities and their financial burden could be relieved considerably. Secondly, as now people are more likely to afford modern commodities, a huge amount of goods therefore can be consumed, which will boost sales and enhance national economy.

On the other hand, it could be undeniable that the decrease of goods prices can be associated with a wide range of problems. The initial drawback is that cheap products are usually accompanied by the low quality. Consequently, it is a waste of monry if customers have to pay for things used for a short time. Another disadvantage is that when companies minimize their products’ prices, the profit gained by saling them would therefore decline sharpy. Because of that, workers in factories are usually paid lower salaries and this is the real culprit of widening the financial distance between the rich and the poor. Moreover, the lack of budget in corporations can explain for their ignorance towards environmental issues.

To sum up, in my opinion, the cheapness of products can be involved in both advantages and disadvantages to individuals and economies of many countries in the world as whole but it is clear that the drawbacks have significantly outweighed the opposite side.
