The society would benefit from a ban on all forms of advertising because it serves no useful purpose, and can even be damaging. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

It is considered that the prohibition in all forms of advertising would bring advantages to society due to its uselessness, or even harmfulness. Personally, I completely disagree with this assumption because advertisement plays an essential role in maintaining some kinds of jobs.

First of all, I believe that there is various needy information that can be disseminated by commercials. Granted, we are living in the digital area when technology and other innovations are gradually developing. Hence, by watching commercials people can keep abreast of these developments since mostly cutting-edge technologies are applied to state-of-art products. For example, when the first iPhone unveiled via commercial on TV, people from all over the world were astonished because it has no plastic keyboard, and it included variously meticulous functions. Advertising raises the public’s awareness of the company’s products and much useful information. Therefore, an advertising restriction is totally unnecessary.

Secondly, advertising has created many jobs and opportunities to make more earnings. Only by advertising can companies reach their target audiences. Hence, once commercials undergo a prohibitive order, many companies would be got into debt, and unemployment rates would increase, finally, the burden would fall on the state. Youtube, for instance, which has major income is advertising, providing people to make a living by making their video, thus, in today’s world, many new jobs have been created such as vlogger, or streamer. Furthermore, brand awareness may be disappeared, if the ban on advertising is implemented. As a consequence, people can not disguise big brand names and the worst ones in that customer could buy fake products, and sometimes these items can do their welfare much harm.

In conclusion, although some people think that commercials are purposeless and detrimental to customers, hence, for the sake of social welfare advertising should be completely eradicated, I believe that an advertising restriction is unreasonable because advertising inform us about many kinds of news, and it gives us opportunities to make end meets
