Do you think that air travel should be banned for environmental reasons? Why/Why not?
Travelling by aircraft has become more popular in recent decades. However, this has affected mainly on the environment. For this reason, some people say that air travel should be banned for environmental. In my opinion, we shouldn't stop to travel by air vehicles.
There are a number of good reasons to keep on travelling by air. First of all, air travel has an important role in the economy. Every year, it brings a large amount of money for countries. Besides, we can transport easier and faster by plane. For example, it only takes 2 hours from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, to export, goods of companies are freighted all over the world.
On the other hand, there is also the bad side of this. Fuel used in aircraft is called AVgas, which is affected on living things by its poison gas. For instance, the poison has been linked to the loss of IQ in children's brain. And this fuel also made from oil in nature, so natural resources would be exhausted in years. Human has used a lot of fossil fuel and limited metal to manufacture planes, helicopters and more. So this will be immensely dangerous for greener environment. Another reason is that air transport stops reducing climate change. If we ban air travelling, it can be changed in a positive way.
In conclusion, flying less often is necessary for environmental. Nevertheless, air travel has been brought us many benefits. In my view, we shouldn't ban air travel because of its pros.
