Writing task 2: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

If you say that children play an important role in all countries in the world, teaching them will be much more important and quite difficult. Someone think that teaching children become good members of society by their parents, otherwise, others believe that it is better when they learn at school. To be honest, I absolutely agree with the first view.

“Strike while the iron is hot” idiom is completely right in this matter. When a baby was born, people who are closest to them is obviously their parents. Parents are ready to make good conditions for children’s future and know how to grow them up to be good citizens. To give a clear example, when parents take them to neighbors’s house, they don’t greet elder people or don’t say “sorry” when making mistakes, “thank you” when taking gifts from others. Therefore, their parents can catch it, give advices and fix them to be better and better next time. This is just a small matter but you’ll see it is really significant in whole life, especially, in the modern society.

However, element which is very decisive in the first view is parents. Unless their parents are well-being citizens, we are not sure that a baby will be good by parents’s teaching. Moreover, when they grow up day by day, we should create a new environment for us to open their mind themselves. That’s a reason why we take them to school when they get 6 years old.

In conclusion, to have a bright world, we ourselves need to create a solid foundation. Children are taught not only by parents but also at school to be good members of society. And parents always stay back to help and support their angels even if they get rich and wealthy after that.
