Some people think that it is the best to live in the horizontal city while others think of a vertical city. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

A number of people believe that living in a vertical city is the best choice. While some opponents of this idea show that settling in a horizontal city is better, I think the first opinion may be more advantageous and suitable for us.

On the one hand, there is no denying the fact that living in a horizontal city has some positive points. Firstly, it is lower to the ground so that it is easier for citizens to escape from dangerous areas when there are disasters. Secondly, people have to pay less for building services comparing the amount of money in vertical city. If residents settle in a private house, they will save the number of money because they don’t need to pay for building services monthly. On the other hand, it seems to me that living in a vertical city is the better choice. A city with many skyscrapers will have more space for public usage because people can use many floors in high buildings instead of wasting land for residential areas. As a result, the government may take advantage of these available spaces to build and develop public services. Moreover, vertical city is one of common trends called smart city in around the world. It plays a pivotal role in composing smart city model. Finally, it is much more convenient for residents to settle at an apartment in a high building. For instance, they can use a variety of goods and services right in building such as market, mall or cinema.

In conclusion, although living in a horizontal city has some benefits, I believe that settle in a city with skyscrapers’ is the better choice.
