Writing task 2

Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however, believe that boys and girls more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In term of education, people hold their different views about the benefits of separate schools as opposed to mixed schools. While I understand that there are some advantages to educating boys and girls in single – sex schools, I do believe that educational system would be better.

On the one hand, some people think that male and female students should go to single schools. By separating boys and girls, it helps to mitigate sexual relationship that is one of the most common issues among schools. For example, being separated by different schools, boys and girls could not spend time together, result in love issue decrease. Additionally, study is student’s priority, so it is much better for them to put more attention on their work instead of being distracted to all fantasies of teenage. Therefore, students in both sexes could reach higher exam grades which contribute to arise their quality of study.

On the other hand, I would argue that more benefits would be taken when attending coeducational system. Firstly, both boys and girls would reach a better communication because of being learned the way to be respectful to the opposite gender. As a result, this establishes basic skills for better future adult life such as work, family, marriage. Secondly, both genders have different abilities to learn different study materials, they can help the opposite sex to learn better. Finally, each gender would be able to co – work as well as in competition with other gender which would enhance the overall performance of students.

In conclusion, in spite of advantages separate schools contribute to education system, it is better for boys and girls to be educated in mixed schools.
