The two pie charts compare the sources of energy are used namely oil, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric power and nuclear power in the UK over the period 10 years.
It is clear that the number of hydroelectric power remained in five kind of energy in both years. The percentage of oil and natural gas decreased while the number of coal and nuclear power rose significantly.
There was a significant reducing but the amount of oil was also the highest in both years with 42% in 1980 and with 33% in 1990. Moreover, natural gas declined slightly only 1% in this period.
Another sources of energy, coal provided 22% for UK in 1970. This figure increased by 5% in 1990. we can see that, nuclear power also rose 5% and reached at 10% in 1990. In addition, 5% was the percentage of hydroelectric power in the 1980s and the 1990s.
