Writing task 1: The bar charts below show the percentage of the U.S adults who are following news about the Corona virus outbreak very closely during two periods of time.

The charts demonstrate the proportion of U.S adults who are reading about the Coronavirus outbreak news in two months, March and April 2020.

Overall, we can see that the percent of people following the outbreak news has increased from March to April, with the elders accounting for the highest percentage.

In March 2020, there were 66% of elderly people who are interested in reading this kind of news, compared to 69% in April 2020. In contrast, the Coronavirus outbreak news is followed by 40% of young adults from 18 to 29 years old, which is lower than the figure of April 2020, by 2%. The percentage that increases in the group of 50 to 64 people and 30 to 49 years old are nearly the same, with 9% and 10%, respectively.

In addition, the news is read by 51% of adults in the U.S in March 2020, while there are 57% of American adults follow the news.
