These given pie charts compare the average of household energy used and household greenhouse gas emissions in Australia.

Overall, heating uses the most of energy while water heating is the main factor in producing greenhouse gas emissions.

It is clear that most of energy is used by heating and water heating, at 42% and 30% respectively. Refrigeration, lighting and cooling do not use mang power for running engine. Sum of the amount of energy used by three equipments stated is as high as other appliances, about 15%.

Although heating uses the most of power, water heating generates the gas emissions more than other household, at 32%. There is a significant different in the mount of energy in and gas out in using heating and refrigeration, but its release about 14-15% of total gas emissions. While other appliances take a quater of household emissions, lighting and cooling are the most environmental equipments, at 8% and 3% respectively.
