The table below provides information about spending on different items of comsumer among Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002.
Overall, percentage of consumer spending on food/drinks/tobaco items in five countries is the highest and leisure/education is the lowest. Also, there are significant differences between consumer spending on clothing/footwear items in Italy and in four other countries.
It can be seen that Turkey had the highest consumer using food/drinks/tobacco items with 32.14% and the follow country is Ireland with 28.91%. Other countries had the percentage of consumer approximately the same, Spain with 18.80%, Italy with 16.36% and Sweden with 15.77%.
Turning to the two other items, proportion of consumer is double between clothing/footwear items and leisure/education items. In clothing/footwear items, there had a considerable difference between consumer in Italy and the others. While Italy reached the proportion of 9%, the four other countries had a fluctuation of 6%. In leisure/education items, Spain had the lowest percentage of 1.98%.
