Writing task 1 - Process - Cement and Concrete Production
The given diagrams illustrate the needed equipment and the process of making cement together with the production of concrete.
Overall, there are 5 stages in cement-making, commencing with the input of limestone and clay and ended up with packaging cement into bags. To produce concrete, there are 4 materials mixed together.
For the start of the production of cement, the powder is produced after the crusher crush limestone and clay which are being put in it. Those powder then are mixed in the mixer and passed to the rotating heater. The resulting mixture is put on the grinder. After that, cement is produced and packaged into bags, ready to be in use.
To make concrete, 4 raw materials are needed and cement is one of them. Mixing with water, sand and small rocks, they are poured into the concrete mixer. Gravels accounted for 50% of the mixture. The other 50% consists of 15% of cement, 25% of sand and the least, 10% of water. All 4 materials are blended together in the machine and then we have concrete which is used in construction.
