Writing task 1. Please help me to review it

The bar chart compares the proportion of households who lived in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.

Overall, the percentage of families and individuals living in owned accommodation rose over the period shown while that of households living in rented accommodation fell dramatically. Both also reached its highest peak for owned accommodation and lowest peak for rented accommodation in the same year 2001.

In the beginning, the proportion of people living in owned accommodation was a little more than 20%, which is only one- fourth compared to that of rented accommodation, at nearly 80%. Then, it gradually increased and stood at 50%, equally to rented accommodation in 1971. Next, it continued growing for about 10% and held the number of over 60% in 2011. The percentage of who living in rented accommodation decreased gradually, at 30% in 2001 followed by a slight increase at about 35% in 2011.
