Writing Task 1: Please help me check the answer. Thank you!

QUESTION: The graph below shows relative price changes for fresh fruits and vegetables, sugars and sweets, and carbonated drinks between 1978 and 2009. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

ANSWER:

The line chart desmonstrates relative changes in price for three different food product groups together with the consumer-price index from 1979 to 2009.

Looking at the chart, it is immediately obvious that the figure saw an increase in trend of price changes for the three food product groups over the course of 30 years. Although there was the same of gradual growth over years, the price changes in fresh fruits-vegetables was higher than that in Sugar-sweets and carbonated drinks.

In the 1979-1987 period, the price for these groups almost same change together with CPI. There are some fluctuation of them but not much, which rose gradually from 60 in 1979 to 100 in 1985. The fresh fruits – vegetables and sugar – sweets were much more different sinifican changing with CPI in 1981 and 1984, respectively.

After 1987, the price for CPI rose steadily to 210 in 2009. Price for fresh fruits – vegetables always remained above the Consumer-price index over the period and increased sharply to 350 at the end of period. By contrast, the price for sugar-sweets and Carbonated drinks were lower than CPI. Although the price for sugar-sweets higher than that in carbonated drinks, in the following years, these groups showed a similar growth trend. They also reached the highest point of the whole line graph in 2009, sugar-sweets reach a peak 200 and carbonated drinks reach a peak 150.
