The maps describe the planned development of Islip town center compared to its current appearance.

Overall, what stands out from the maps is that all the infrastructure are expected to be inside the only area surrounded by Dual Carriageway and to meet more demands than they do, while school and housing are planned to stay unchanged in the other side of the Carriageway. Looking at the details, the queue of shops in the north of town center is supposed to be replaced by bus station, shopping mall, parking for cars and new housing with an entry from the Carriageway. As it is mentioned in the development project, these kinds of things are separated from the other queue of shops by the way for only pedestrians instead of main road like now. Also, another new housing is planned to apply between old housing and park which tend to be narrowed and be smaller than that now.
