The maps illustrate an industrial area in Norbiton in the present day compared with plans for future development of the site.
The map sketchs illustrate the comparison between the Norbiton present state and its future development.
Overall, the place will expand and turn into a residential area with full removal of factories and the appearance of houses. Along with it is the construction of a school, playground, medical centre and shops at expense of farmlands and space.
In the present, the industrial area in Norbiton is plainly a group of factories with plenty of undisturbed places and farm land. Factories surround the centre and follow the main road to the east.
In the future, the roundabout will be added two more roads: one to the north and the second to the northwest. As mentioned before, factories will be replaced by houses and make the area become more residential, houses will be placed at every road and there will be a bridge spanning the width of the river connecting to other dwellings on the farmland . While the playground will be near the river banks and a school will be built at the end of the east road. Moreover the construction of a medical centre and shops will be around the roundabout.
