The line graph illustrates the average number of wages every month of Japanese and the changes in the price of two types of different Televisions between 1953 and 1983.

Overall, It is noticeable that while the number of wages which Japanese were received every month increased, the figure for the price of Black and White Television and Color Television experienced the opposite trend.

In 1953, the price of Black and White Television was very high at 110.000 Yen while Japanese workers were only paid 18.000 Yen per month. At that time, Color Television was not available. Over the following 10 years, the price of Black and White Television decreased significantly by nearly two-third, with 40.000 Yen. By contrast, there was a slight increase in the average number of Japanese wages to over 20.000 Yen per month. Besides, there was the appearance of Color Television with the quite high price, 100.00 Yen.

By 1983, after many fluctuations, Japanese salary had increased dramatically nearly 70.000 Yen per month while the price of Color Television had decreased to approximately 48.000 Yen. A similar trend could be seen for Black and White Television, with the figure dropping to only 20.000 Yen.
