Answer
The four pie charts compare three age groups of the inhabitants in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and make a prediction for 2050.
It is clear that the percentage of people from 60 years onward will go up throughout the period in both countries.
In 2000 the majority of people living in Yemen were between 0 and 14 years old, accounting for half of the population. Whereas the highest figure in Italy was between the age of 15 and 59, with 61.6%. While in the same year, the lowest proportion belongs to the group of 60 years old or more with only 3.6% and
24.1% in Yemen and Italy respectively.
As for the prediction that was made for 2050, in Yemen, we can see that there will be an increase in the number of people with the age from 15 to 59 with 57.3% and 5.7% for 60 years or more. On the other hand, the inhabitants with 15-59 years will experience a decrease to 46.2% in Italy. However, the group of people whose age 60 years or more will rise to 42.3%.
