The pie charts reveal the comparison of power yield in America in 1995 and 2005.
Overall, the majority of power production accrued from coal, gas, and petrol in both the years 1995 and 2005. Compared to 1995, petrol energy trended to diminish whereas nuclear energy increased in 2005.
In 1995, energy yield from coal, gas, and petrol made up 29.80, 29.63 and 29.27 per cent, respectively. The small percentage of yield originated from nuclear power with 6.4 percent and other power with 4.9 percent.
In 2005, the figure for coal and gas energy was still highest with 30.93 and 30.31 percent, respectively. There was a decrease from 29.27% in 1995 to 19.55% in 2005 in the percentage of petrol energy yield. On the contrary, nuclear and other energy increased production to 10.10% and 9.10% in 2005, respectively.
