The bar charts illustrates the figures for two genders who pursued higher education and mode of studying in the US in three period 1970-1971, 1980-1981 and 1990-1991
Overall, it is clear that the number of boys and girls who studied full-time was much higher than that of studying part-time. In addition, the figures had a tendency of increase, almost all the time surveyed.
During the period of 1970-1971, boys preferred learning full-time than girls .The figures for were around 1000 and 700, respectively. Under 100 of males in England spent part-time in a further education , compared to over 50 of females
The US saw a fall in the number of full-time male students , a decrease of 100 ( from 1000 in 1970-1971 to 900 in 1990-19991 ) . In contrast, Girls in England spent a slightly higher figure learning all day, with over 100 . There were 200 in both genders studying part-time in a higher education in the 1990-1991 period
