(WRITING) Obliged housework for students

I'm currently practicing writing for an upcoming exam. I would love to receive your constructive comments.

When children have to deal with a lot of schoolwork, they are not obliged to do housework. What is your opinion? Write a paragraph (about 180-200 words) to speak out your view.

Considering the accumulative schoolwork facing students, people believe that adults should not always expect them to fulfill household responsibilities. I completely agree with this opinion for the following reasons. Firstly, housework will possibly distract students from studying, which is at the top of the agenda. As the world’s socioeconomic climate is demanding more than ever before, students, the new generation, should attach great importance to work at school and for school. Schoolwork is a requirement for students to enrich their knowledge and develop their academic skills. The more schoolwork students deal with, the better future preparation they have. Having sorted out the priorities, students should have the best support for schoolwork. Secondly, students have too limited time to do both obliged schoolwork and housework. The need to satisfy schools and families’ demands while not having enough time will probably put students under extreme pressure. Students, after spending solid hours studying at school, are sometimes not even able to finish their sole schoolwork, let alone household responsibilities. The pressure from both sides, therefore, negatively affects students’ mental and physical health. In conclusion, adults should not require students to be responsible for household duties while they are struggling with schoolwork.
