Topic: Studying the English language in an English-speaking country is the best but
not the only way to learn language.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

It comes as no surprise that currently many students decide to reach a country in which English is considered as a mother tounge to improve English because of its foreseeable advantages. Although the intention is the most effective way to learn, it is not the only choice. I totally agree that there are many other ways to learn.

Admittedly, an English-speaking country is a great environment for enhancing English skills. For instance, you have to speak English with native speakers everytime and everywhere because no one understands and uses your language. However, it is undeniable that fee for living and studying oversea is extremely exorbitant, which is not suitable for a majority of students. It is also not a bad choice to pursue a good english course in your own country. In addition, Internet and libraries which are easily found and used in your hometown is a huge source for studying English. My friend is a striking example in learning English by self-study. Only by learning English through videos on Youtube and english books in a library, did she have good English qualification and achieve a scholarship to study abroad.

It is also argued that experiencing English culture directly in a English-speaking country is a good method to understand English thoroughly. Sometimes, every word become more self-explanatory. Nevertheless, learners might feel lonely, anonymous and suffer discrimination if they meet local people who prioritize their race over that of others. Besides, you will not face with high pressure when studying in your own country. Practicing English with friends and teachers is more convenient, which helps you acquire the English target more easily.

In conclusion, there are many effective options to study English in stead of arriving in an English-speaking country.
