Writing IELTS task 2

Hi all editors.

Would you mind helping me check and correct my following essay? i am going to take an ielts exams the following months, and i deeply thank you for all your comments and concerns.

With regards!

Here is my essay "Some people say that crime is a result of social problems and poverty, others think that crime is a result of bad person’s nature. Discuss both views and give your opinions."

Nowadays, many countries around the world are facing both minor and serious crimes. Consequently, there is an argument about reasons causing crimes. Some people feel that crime is a result of social problems and poverty, whereas others people think that it should be a result of bad person’s nature.

On the one hand, it is often claimed that who have an inborn bad nature are more likely to break the law. A number of youngsters, rather than working hard for an honest and prosperous living, they choose to steal from others. Particularly, there is an apparent example is that bad characteristics such as laziness and selfishness might also breed future offenders, who always seek to acquire easy money without working for it. In specific, individuals even though are educated in “good environment” when they were a child, they still commit a crime in their later life.

On the other hand, some people assert that social problems and poverty are the essential causes leading to crime. Firstly, living in a lower class is one of the main reasons ahead to an increase of crime rate. It seems apparent that if they do not have enough money to make ends meet, they will tend to pursue illegal activities just to support their live and family. Secondly, many researchers have found that unemployment is one of the reasons that people resort to crime so as to provide their daily needs simply because they can not find a good job. This is therefore a deliberate problem need to be tackled in many countries in modern decades.

In conclusion, although both views absolutely have their own validity, I am inclined to believe that the problems in society and living in poverty are the main reasons which take a deep impacts on creating illegal crime. (299 words)
