Writing IELTS task 1 (table)

The graph below shows the percentage of mobile phone owners using various mobile phone features in Vietnam in the year 2005, 2008, 2010.

The table illustrates the proportion of 4 different mobile phone items used by Vietnamese owners in 3 separate years 2005, 2008 and 2010.

Overall, making calls made up the vast majority of the preferences in all years given. It is also noticeable that taking photos is the only figure increasing over the period shown.

As can be seen from the graph, in 2005, 100% of owners used mobile phone to make call. The figure for recording audio and sending & receiving text messages accounted for 78% and 82% respectively in the same year. There was a decrease in the proportion of people using these services by 3% in making calls, 15% in recording audio and 14% in the others.

In contrast, Taking photos had the opposite trend. Standing at 65% in 2005, the proportion of mobile phone users taking photos rose to 77% in 2010, surpassing 2 mobile phone categories to achieve the second popular features used.
