The line graph illustrates the average number of Vietnamese students studying in France, Russia and the USA over a 15-year period, ending in 2015.

Overall, It is clear that the number of Vietnamese students studying in France and the USA increased, while the figure for Russia showed an opposite pattern.

In 2000, the number of Vietnamese students studying in France was highest with over 3.5 million, compared to 3 million in Russia and 1.5 million in the USA. Over the next 5 years, there was a decrease of around 1 million in the number of Vietnamese students studying in France and Russia, while the figure for the USA increased to 2 million.

From the year 2005 onwards, the number of Vietnamese students studying in Russia decreased to approximately 2 million in 2010 but went up 2.5 million in the last period. The year 2015 witnessed a sinificant growth with 5 million in the number of Vietnamese students studying in the USA. In contrast, the number of Vietnamese students studying in France decreased to over 2 million over a period of 5 years, from 2005 to 2010. After that, the figure for France increased to approximately 4.5 million.
