Writing ielts task 1

Hi everyone. I'm a new member. Please help me check my writing task 1. Thanks you very much.

The line graph give information about the percentage of the ageing population during a century in three different countries: Japan, Sweden and USA. Overall, the proportion of the population aged 65 and over in three countries increased between 1940 and 2040. In addition, the percentage of elderly people in USA were highest and the percentage of elderly people in Japan were lowest in 1940. But they are opposite in 2040.

To be specific, the amount of people aged 65 and older approximately 5% in Japan, 7% in Sweden and 9% in the USA in 1940. There was a fluctuate sharp in the amount of older population in both countries USA and Sweden during the period. However this percentage in Sweden was higher than USA in 2040. Between 1940 and 2030, the proportion of older people rose slightly from 5% to 10% in Japan. Over the ten years from 2030 to 2040, it will increase significantly and reach to around 27%.
