Essay:
Technology and traditions are deemed two sides of a coin named culture. A group of people starts to ignite a public debate that the development of technology gradually kills the traditions. They show several evidence to reinforce their statement and all of them have their specific meanings but in my perspective, everything has advantages and disadvantages. It is still worthwhile to investigate the ability of coexistence of technology and technology.
We are not able to deny that at the present time, a few traditional culture has been disappeared during the strong development of science and technology. Instead of using their bare hands to make handicrafts, people could apply technology to produce products and archive a better efficiency. In fact, these products partially lose its own traditional meaning and some goods are provided into the market with the low quality. For another instance, with the support of technological devices, everyone can easily get in contact with others by using smartphones or computers. It makes communication become more convenient but cause some serious problems such as the lack of face-to-face contact. Besides, due to people always living in much faster life than in the past, some traditional ceremonies have been shortened and forgot after a short period of time.
On the contrary, science and technology play a pivotal role in traditions. It not only observes but also uses different methods to improve and develop the cultural traditions. Firework, our traditional things that always appears in many essential occasions, is a prime example for this statement. Applying nowadays technology to make the complicated fireworks that when they are launched into the sky, instead of showing the sphere shape and mono-color at the same time, people could be able to make a disjunction. The fireworks which we use today have complicated shape with wide arranges of color. It is also connected to the computer in order to put the launch-time under control which creates a flawless performance on the sky.
In conclusion, tradition and technology can coexist and cooperate. Tradition can be an endless inspirational resource for technology to develop. Besides, tradition can be reinforced with the aid of technology. They make a perfect combination in our daily life.
