In many societies in the world, the population is aging rapidly and this is leading to an unsustainable increase in the cost of public healthcare. A nation’s population should pay for their healthcare provision in the future. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It goes without saying that the population ageing has witnessed an inexorable development in the global world. Therefore, the unsustainable increase in the public healthcare cost is one of the most urgent issues facing us today. As a result, it is argued that the residents in a lot of countries should pay for their healthcare insurance in the not so distant future. I don't totally side with this statement, because to my belief, the underprivileged and the unemployment should be an exeption

On the one hand, the population in the world has grown rapidly since the last few decade. People had to suffer from various diseases and pandemic such as SARS or Convid-19. However, one of the main causes of this issue has come from the sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy habits. Especially when the birthrate in most countries is falling and life expectancy increasing, the older generation can not have enough health condition to earn money for themselves. Hence, according to this trend, the goverment can not provide enough medical serves for a large amount of people down the line. Next, the nation's economic can encounter an undesirable situation when the goverment need to face up to other serious problems such as environment or disaster, so they can not bear all the cost for each person in society. To solve the aforementioned problems, a nation should pay attention to the birth plan for the younger population. Therefore, they can pay for the cost of medical treatments.

On the other hand, it is an undeniable fact that it is an unfair for the impoverished and the unemployment if they do not earn any medical condition. Because of the increasing rate of ageing population, they can not meet the need of labour market. As a result, they will be laid off and replaced soon. After that, they will belong to the lower class and can not earn a living cost. Therefore, this type of people still needs to receive the healthcare assistance from the society or the government. Taking into account America, there are policies for providing welfare for the older who can not satisfy the labour condition. In this way, the national budget will be balanced and their resident still gain the sense of civic responsibility.

In conclusion, it is reasonable when the free heathcare policy is not able for everyone. However, taking everything into consideration, the underprivileged and the unemployment should need to earn healthcare assistance.
