To begin with, host countries could take the opportunity to boost tourism based on their cultural identity through the celebration of sports events. As a large array of tourists worldwide will gravitate towards these destinations, the hosts stand the chance of promoting such cultural features as traditions. This, as a result, may potentially stimulate the tourism sector, while concurrently bolster the economic growth. Vietnam, a south-east Asia nation, has successfully gained its global exposure in the event of SEA games 2003 through activities of discovering the lifestyle of indigenous people. Given that, this nation has improved their number of visitors annually. As it shows, host countries could derive substantial benefits from sports events.

On the other hand, this may come at the expense of immediate problems that are necessarily dealt with. With the requirements of several elements related to resources and materials, the preparation proves to be demanding. This, therefore, may even culminate in the damage of property coupled with human fatality. A case in this point is Qatar since the nation has been condemned for the lethal abuse of about 6500 foreign workers during the construction of World cup 2022 stadiums. The public, consequently, has raised a backlash against such improprieties as it has contravened the human rights. The issue again calls the celebration of sports events into question.

In conclusion, both sides of argument have their own strong support. On these platforms, the host countries should ponder both camps of the conundrum to implement suitable practices.
