Writing captions

Hello! I am writing the captions for photos taken in a drama. Could you please proofread them? I am not sure about the tense. Any other mistakes?

(in this photo, he is making fun of her)

1.Romeo plays tricks on Juliet. His humorous lines spice/ spiced up the show.

(in this photo, the cast, dancers are singing and dancing)

2.The ensemble shine/ shone in the drama.
