While it is reasonable to admit the negative aspects of sport tournaments such as terrorist attacks or political tensions, I believe world sport competitions are true facilitators in peace and stability.

Sports at international level are obvious engines for patriotism instillation. It is undeniable fact that national teams are formed by individuals from various ethnicities and backgrounds. This results in a tendency to overcome petty barriers of countries and cultures, as well as to propagate the message of unity and oneness in diversity. Provided a particular nation win a trophy, which, without a doubt, will evoke the patriotic spirit and homogeneousness amid citizens.

Another assertion is the sterling role in diplomatic relations among different nations.
