Writing and rubric use
I was wondering if a rubric that measures writing in terms of Focus and Unity, Organization, Development of Ideas, Voice and Style, Written Conventions can be used to measure the adequacy of a summary. Normally, a rubric with the aforementioned components are utilized to grade longer writing assignments, such as essays and responses to literature. A summary is way shorter than the said longer writing assignments, and this type of rubric might not be appropriate. Can somebody give me some feedback?
