In recent years, society has witnessed a large number of people make a decision to live on their own, which contributes to various demerits that people should take into consideration. The initial downside of being single is financial problems, which tends to be far more expensive unless people have partners to split the bills, as well as the cost of living. Particularly, a single person is the sole source of income in the household, meaning all the bills fall on one person with no help from a partner, resulting in being stressed and negative thoughts about managing living expenses themselves. Another drawback alone person would probably encounter is to have detrimental impacts on health. So much time does a single person spend alone that it is believed to bring about disadvantageous sides for physical health. According to some studies, scientists have found that social isolation can increase the likelihood of mortality because not only is being socially connected influential for psychological and emotional well-being but it also has a significant and positive influence on physical well-being and overall longevity. Skeptics, on the other hand, claim that lone-person would obtain freedom and not involve too much commitment and responsibility. Nevertheless, it is not important because people can easily deep in painful loneliness should they continue their single lifestyle. Lacking love, help, and support are the main elements to nourish our emotion and physic, so single people are more likely to be hopeless and exhausted when they spend most of the time working and being lonely. Thus, it is difficult to summon up the energy and bravery to find happiness and change, possibly leading to high rates in depression among human each year. As indicated above, so many cons does single status pose that individual should heighten their consciousness and choose the right path for life.
