writing an apology

Hello, i am in need of some quick help if poss. I am teaching a half hour class on monday morning and have been asked to show my level pre intermediate, how to write an apology but in a fun and inventive way. I am all out of ideas and to be honest think that its not a very helpful subject to teach. Afterall - when was the last time you wrote an apology note? Anyway, if anyone can come up with an inventive way to highlight the language, i'd be very grateful!

Thanks

Lou

Hi Lou: I don't know how much time you have to teach this, but if there was a lot of time, I would first have the students relate personal experiences where an apology was deserved. The stories can be made up, of course. I would introduce some set phrases that we use for apology notes.

  • Example: A: My story is that I was mad at my brother and tore up his homework that was due the next day.

"Can you forgive me?"
