Hi, I just tried to post this question, but it seems to have vanished. I am aware that when I am writing about a nun using her name, as in Sister Catherine, I capitalise the S of sister. Would that still apply when a nun is speaking to another nun, without the use of her name? As in, "I don't know, sister," said Sister Joan.
Top answer
Yes, "Sister" is an honorific or title, so it's capitalized.
