Writing a speech in present tense on something in the future

Here is the speech. Entering Williamson high school, I've come to realize that, in no more than four years, high school will be over and I will further my education in pursuit of a career in aviation. With tuition at my potential aviation based colleges costing tens of thousands of dollars per semester, it is becoming increasingly evident that my local lemonade stand is not going to cut it. Project 2017's main goal is to secure the success of each student of the class of 2017 in Williamson. Through fundraising and donation, Project 2017 plans to provide a scholarship to every student who graduates with an advanced regents diploma, planning to continue their education. When watching the news and speaking with politically aware adults, it becomes evident that the United States and world contain many hardships. The most pressing stressors I find apply to our lives are financial stability and education. With the future of our children and world in mind, project 2017 has allowed me to reach comfortably for the skies, and contribute to society. It has allowed my family to support me with no worries or doubts, and it has challenged my class to graduate successfully from High School, and contribute to our world. On behalf of class two thousand and seventeen, with great humility, l thank all of you for supporting the future of our class through project 2017.
~~~~~~~~My dad thinks that " It has allowed my family to support me with no worries or doubts, and it has challenged my class to graduate successfully from High School, and contribute to our world." Is wrong, in that it will allow me and it will challenge my friends. He thinks because the project has not given me money, I cannot comfortably reach for the skies. Due to the fact that there is money in the Project 2017 slot, I will get money, assuming I graduate. I will graduate. Therefore, I will get a scholarship. Additionally, project 2017, due to it's existence, provides a sense of security to me, my family, and my class. I think that referring to it as past tense isn't wrong. Is it? Also, is stressor, as I used it, a word?
Good question! In this specific instance, both past and future tense work, except for the phrase wherein the project challenged your friends. That must be past.
If you have not yet received any money from this project, you should not use a past tense. But the future tense is fine because you are talking about the future.
With the future of our children and world in mind, project 2017 has allowed will allow me to reach comfortably for the skies, and contribute to society.
Anonymous I will get money, assumi
