Writing a note

Hi,

I´d like to thank my aunt for having me at her place last month.

Is it correct to use Pres. Continuous at the beginning of my note ?

I´m thanking you for having me at your place.

Thanks,

Ann

Hi.
No, it isn't. You should say "I'd like to thank you ..." or "thank you for ..."
