WRITING A LETTER TO A JUDGE

Hi there,

I got a speed ticket while having an emergency situation on highway 59 from Freer, Tx to Laredo,TX. I need to write a letter to the judge to explain how this happened and attach a doctor's letter explaining or justifying my rush to the next gas station and that he saw my daughter because she was sick.

Should I addres the judge by Your honor?? Any ideas on the wording?
